Assessment

Assessment Prior to any treatment or advice, our chartered physiotherapists or sports rehabilitators will discuss your condition with you and carefully examine the nature of your problem offering best course of treatment. We can decide upon assessment made as to whether physiotherapy alone or a combination of sport rehabilitation is appropriate or not, only then a formulated treatment programme tailored to your needs is implemented. A full assessment with initial treatment plan takes approximately 60+ minutes. Follow up treatment sessions takes approximately 45-50 minutes.

Biomechanics and Posture

Biomechanics and Posture Biomechanics is one aspect which is over looked to assess various musculoskeletal injuries. In our practice we address the alignment of the whole body and in particular the lower limb and its effect on normal movement and muscle balance. Pain and injury can arise when structures of the lower limb are not quite in line. This is referred to as 'mal-alignment'. If the foot does not strike the ground properly undue muscular strain, wear and tear on the joints can occur in the whole chain (foot, ankle, shin, knee, hip, back and neck).

Acupunture

Acupunture Acupuncture has been practiced for over 2500-3000 years. It is used by health professionals who are specially trained in acupuncture. Its use is based on research and medical findings, it enhances pain modulation by the stimulation of the brain and the spinal cord resulting in the release of natural pain killers (hormones) called endorphins that help to ease pain. Endorphins reduce the sensation of pain and affect emotions. They assist the body's healing process and offer pain relief as a precursor for other exercises and manual therapies.
